Merchant Store
We’ve made it easy to accept claim payments with Transend Pay, our next generation solution that replaces paper checks with fast, secure electronic deposits. You’ll receive payments 3-7 days faster than paper checks. Standardized ERAs and distribution options to automate posting allow you to reduce paper and save even more time. All at a rate that’s less than credit card processing and third-party billing companies. Brought to you by Elavon and their partner Emdeon, a leader in healthcare revenue cycle solutions.
Claim payments from participating insurance payers will be automatically deposited to your Elavon merchant services account starting for some providers as early as January. All of these payments will be reported on your bank statement and MerchantConnect.com.
We will not have access to your patient’s protected health information. This data will be provided by Emdeon, the insurance plan’s trusted clearing house.
As more insurance payers register to participate in Transend Pay, more of your check payments will be converted to electronic deposits. We are actively enrolling insurance plans on Transend Pay. As insurance plans are activated, we will publish a list which will be regularly updated on the website. We anticipate having an initial list of payers available in January.
A flat 1.5% fee will be applied on each transaction. Unlike credit cards and third party billing companies, no other fees apply.
While checks received directly by a healthcare provider may have little to no direct cost, the indirect costs associated with paper check processes could be slowing down cash flow and hampering administrative effectiveness. Electronic deposits do not require staff to open, record, reconcile and deposit payments so Transend Pay offers time saving versus checks.
