2007 Interchange "Enhancements"
The associations have introduced new discount rate categories.
Visa has introduced 9 new business card categories and MasterCard
has introduced a new line of cards called World Elite.
The changes to existing rate categories are shown below along
with the new Interchange Categories that merchants may see on their
April statement. Capital Q passes through the exact difference
of Interchange and never surcharges our merchants. These
changes will not affect the majority of our merchants.
In June the MasterCard will be lowering Merit 3 and Merit 1 by
0.06%. Our merchants will automatically receive this savings.
